Has anything been written in English about the 'Rames Guyane' boats? They seem to offer an interesting alternative to the more usual Morrison boats and I was wondering if a slightly scaled down version might make a good solo coastal rowing cruiser? They seem a bit more slippery aerodynamically than most and give at least the impression of being 'in' the boat rather than being perched on top of it.

Alternatively the early Morrison plywood boats can be bought for reasonable sums these days and I suppose you could reduce the cabin area to create a coastal boat. The Yole below is a lighter weight boat and easier to row / launch etc..
