Rotating Rig Proposal, Suggestions and Critical thoughts welcome

Hello all,

I am planning to rig a trailerable 8m trimaran for coastal cruising, sometimes in restricted waters.

I am very taken with the idea of a fully rotating rig, ballestron style; however I have reservations about the large loads and stiffness required in the boom and also the challenges it imposes on derigging for trailering.

An alternate arrangement I propose, is wishbone style, main and fib booms pivoting on the mainmast, bisecting loose footed jib and mainsail.

Reefing would be accomplished by a roller reef jib, main roller reefing into aerowing type mast.

would welcome all feedback.
cheers.
