Removing Lifting Strakes?

Hey everybody.

I've been looking online to see if anybody has modified their wakeboard boat hull to get it to sink in the water lower. I've got an 04 Tige with 3 sets of lifting strakes and I'm wondering if it would be unhealthy to the boat to remove the lifting strakes from the middle of the hull to the stern.

You guys seems to know what you're talking about on here. I've never worked on manipulating a boats hull before. I have worked with auto body and have some experience at that.

Should I mess with it or just leave it alone? Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thank you.
