| Recommended Cabin Cruiser Plans I'm looking at getting a mid-20 ft cabin cruiser next year, and I wanted to hear opinions about designs that people like. It would be my preference to build, but I may just buy one if it comes cheaply enough. What I need:
I have been looking at the Tolman Skiffs: http://www.alaska.net/~tolmanskiffs/ and I really like the lines on the bartender boats: http://bartenderboats.com/ On the commercial side, I like the Hewescraft: http://www.hewescraft.com/ and the Osprey boats: http://www.ospreyboats.com/ Is there a designer or set of plans that I should be looking at besides Tolman and Bartender? Opinions? |

| This is Cooper Jr. a 24' power cruiser designed for cold water. With a 75 HP outboard she'll run about 18 MPH with full tanks and crew 4. With 200 HP hung on her butt, she'll run over 35 MPH of course depending on load. She can be built taped seam or plywood over frames. Her first frame is shown, so you can see that she's no weeny. Standing headroom in the pilothouse, including the head, so you don't have to squat to pee. V berth forward, with sitting headroom, galley and settee to starboard, helm, nav station and head to port. More information is here > http://www.woodenboat.com/boatplansa...-2211-490.html <. Contact by email if interested. |
