nothing but fun?

This sure is fun and surprisingly "in control" on (flat) water and in the air, at high and low speed.
Could it be more than a toy? Without engine power/weight ratio's it is hard to tell. One can make a brick fly given ...
The HydroFoam looks very much like the Aircat http://www.du-groundeffect.com/index.html . The Aircat is a real WIG.
The HydroFoam, however, is probably not balanced as a WIG as I suspect it uses the flip over tendency at speed on the water to point up for (spectacular) vertical lift off. Also there is not one part in the video sequence with sustained near ground flight.
