| Typically, resin ratios are a function of weight. For example, if the fabric weighs 1 kg, and the resin you put in weighs 1 kg, the total weight is 2 kg, and the resin ratio is 50% by weight. This is a low average for resin ratio in traditional wet layups, but a good average for vacuum bagged laminates. Usually, we deal with fabric ratios rather than resin ratios because the fabric is the strength part of the laminate. Therefore, typical wet layups will have fabric ratios of 30% to 45% (so resin is 70% to 55%), vacuum laminates typically run 45% to 60% (resin 55% to 40%), and the maximum in resin infusion and autoclave is 70% fiber content by weight (so 30% resin) This is the max, and any higher fiber content than this, usually, you don't have enough resin to hold the fiber together--it will be dry in areas. Hope that helps. Eric
