Radius Chine Hulls

I came across some information on Radius Chine hulls. Where it was stated that the hull gave softer ride characteristics etc than hard chine hulls. Being a relative novice could someone please explain to me what exactly a radius chine hull is, and what its characteristics are?
This hull type was mentioned in the context od Displacement vs Semi-Displacement vs Planning hulls. Here is the link.

Hello,
I am an architecture student from Innsbruck (AUSTRIA). It’s a city in the middle of the Alps. Despite of the distance from the sea I am treating the project of a hull. Therefore I would like to ask you for some indications or literature for a progressive construction; I am especially looking for plans in building with ultra light materials (Carbon, Fiberglass, CoreCell for example).

With best regards

You don't say anything about size. What about our Backman 18, weighing only 300kg including 200kg lead in the bulb? www.mboats.no/B18/backman_18.htm
