propulsion eff.

Anyone have any strong feelings on the best way to milk the most range out of a gallon of diesel? Just to make it a real challenge Seaworthiness is of no less importance in this design. What I have now is 100 tons on 70 ft Lwl. P.coef of .52-.56 and a real flat run.
