| Project Boat - Who wants to guess speed? I have been refurbishing/repowering a Harley Superstar 42 for over three months. Engines finally go in this week. Would any of you design savy folks care to guess how she will perform? Top speed, planning speed, crusing speed? Beam 10.6 Very deep Vee Length 42-feet Approx 13,000 pounds (Kevlar/glass/foam core construction) Arneson surface drives Transmissions have 1.5:1 reductions New engines will be high torque gas 502's rated at 450-500 HP but having over 650 ft/lbs of torque each. Guesses anyone? Cheers to all - will post real numbers when I get them. |
