| Power prediction methods taking into account trim hello everyone I am looking for power prediction methods such as Holtrop-1984, which taking into account trim, however i dont know how sensitive Holtrop-1984 method is to trim changes, what i am looking for is how the trim affect resistance (i.e effective power). however i can not use model tests neither CFD progs. Any suggestions ??? Many thanks |

| Do you mean static or dynamic trim? If static, just enter the data of hull in trimmed condition you are interested in. If dynamic -Holtrop method do not run to so high speeds, where dynamic trim can drastically change hull characteristics.
