Have you considered spray-on bed liner with an anti-slip surface?

If you want non-skid there is deck enamel with a flat finish. The water based lasts about three years if it is not covered.

No But That Sounds Like A Good Idea. Does It Roll On And Are There Different Textures? Will It Be Water Proof And Would I Need To Sand The Paint I Have On The Plywood Before Coating

You already waterproofed it enough. A little scuffing is all you need.

No. You can sprinkle builder's sand or other grainy substance onto wet paint for texture or safety. You can even use a toothed glue trowell or other implement to add texture. It all depends on how much you are willing to do.

At home Depot I saw an interesting product for repairing , top coating older wooden decks & porches.

Seemed just enough no skid to be safe , yet EZ to flush fish parts off of.

I have that on my deck out back and am happy with it. It would be a good choice, keeping in mind it needs re-done every few seasons, depending on foot traffic. Good color options, too.

Gelcoat will act like a paint remover. If you want to gelcoat, first you have to remove all other coatings. Then fiberglass over it and finish with gelcoat.

There is a great product made for decks and walkways, I think it is called "deckcoat" or something similar. It is gray and has some kind of fine aggreget in it. It is made by the same company that makes "Sno-roof", it is latex based and not very expensive.

There are also two part deck covering products that are similar, but they cost a lot more and I have not found are any more durable. I would try the latex based deck-coat product.

I'm in the process of removing the old "carpet" covering from my pontoon deck.I'm going to use a two part paint [epoxy] that comes with color flakes and a non slip additive.Paint can be rolled on and then color flakes and sand can be added by hand.Let you know how it works out.
