I am involved with the members of the Lewis and Clark Discovery Expedition here
    in Saint Charles Missouri.
We wish to build several pirogue's ( 6 or 7 of them) but we want them to be able to hold up to 6 men.
We built the two 40' pirogues and the 55' keel boat but we are unsure as to the proper dimensions of these small lightweight boats
Does anyone have any plans and or experience in this type of design? We Thank you in
    advance for your time

    6 men sitting in a straight line? Or perhaps a 1, 2, 2, 1 configuration?

    pirogue modification

    Matt,
Thank you for the response, a 1,2,2,1 seating arrangement is definitely a possibility. They simply need boats that are lighter and easier to transport than their big wooden dugouts.Do you have plans for the suggested seating arrangement?

Well no but they would be easy enough to draw up.
