Panjandrum

Using modern materials and controls, could the Panjandrum be turned into a vehicle to ride across the ocean? (without the explosives on board) Did someone already design such a contraption?

No is the short answer. Besides, if watching it makes you dizzy, imagine riding in it.

Dizzy or cool?

Here's the cool way to ride in a wheel.

Maybe a single wheel, ocean going vessel could be propelled with waterjets, if it had a gyroscope. ( the problem with the monowheeler in the last post )

Why would you do it ? Heck - I bet they would pay you heaps to demonstrate it at boat shows as a crowd puller.
