Paddle boat chopped

I aqquired a paddle and want to convert it to a 2 or 3 man bass boat. We want to cut it half and use the pontoons to make the boat. we want to fill the pontoons with some sort of foam for floatation and use some marine grade plywood to make the deck of the boat. then attatch seats to the plywood along with a trolling motor. we want to put some sort of rods throughout the boat so it wont sway and twist. It definitely wont be fancy or expensive, we want to do it as inexpensive as possible but still want it to not sink and last like 2 or 3 years. what do you think? is it possible? does anyone have any better design ideas?

Most paddle boats are 8' long.
That's long not enough to provide stability for 3 persons fishing.
So, you cut it up, fill the hulls with foam, put some beams across, put on a deck.
Even at 8' beam x 8' long, it won't be a stable platform. So, you'll need more length in my opinion.
Why bother cutting up the paddle boat? You aren't using much of it...

Look at pontoon boats, perhaps build one.
Maybe find a cheap Hobie 14 and put a deck on it.
Maybe build a simple jon boat.
etc.
