The best mixtures in non skid paint will be ground walnut shells or similar. Sand in paint works , but sanding off sand to refinish gets tiresome. Nicest I have seen is a cotton large pattern mosquito screening. This is ironed to flat and trimmed to the boat round cleats and deck fills ect. The area is painted with 2 part epoxy paint , the screening fitted , ans another coat rolled on. For some reason the paint will wick up into the screen giving a great no skid surface. Cheap, EZ, nice custom looking , and easy to refunish. FAST FRED

I used topcoat mixed with SP glass bubbles for the antiskid when building the plug for the deck mould. The mix of topcoat/bubbles was applied with a mohail roller. When mixed correctly the pattern looks like on the picture below! X-yachts use this metod on all their boats! Speaking of mosquito net, one idea that just crossed my mind is using peel ply...? When the peelply is removed, the surface will have perfect anti-skid properties I think!

Thanks! And what about non-slip for skylight hatches, any idea? ISO require non-slip if hatch size is more than 500 mm, but many of hatches available to purchase do not match this regulation.

For acrylic hatches I use the stick on strip stuff. It comes in black or white.(maybe other colors too) No slip and still get your light in the interior.
