A new consideration in sailboat design

Here's a link where the author discusses a consideration in sailboat design that I don't think has been given much thought.

This one's a classic! Three cheers for the Pacific Islanders of 2000 years ago (long before there were ever monohulls!)

Location: Conn in summers , Ortona FL in winter , with big dock & room for O'nite stop .
Multihulls follow the wave face , offshore IF the wave goes vertical , so does the cat. OOOPS!

Poking "fun" while on the overhead may be exciting , for a while , till the cold water gets over the functioning parts.

Yes, but maybe upside-down! Although...who cares?
Cheers.

reminds me of the 80's when there were lots of bumpers stickers that said things like

Electricians do it without shorts
Ministers do it divinely
Sailors do it with waves (for those of you too young, women in the navy used to be called Waves)
Arabs do it in tents

and so on
