New boat owner - need some info please

Hi guys, I just purchased my first ever boat. Not a big one. Basically, it is a fairly old, but in very good shape 14' aluminum boat that I want to use for bass fishing in the Delaware River during the summer months. Before the fishing season gets underway, I want to go over the entire boat such as adding new electrical wiring and epoxy all of the seams, generally just clean it up somewhat. Paint the trailer, that sort of thing.

My question is this. I thought that I would purchase a brand new wiring harness. However, would it be just as easy to purchase all of the parts, brake lights, marker lights, license plate holder, etc. etc, seperately. The boat is of 1956 vintage and would probably be a bear to find an exact wiring harness for. I guess that I'm just looking for some direction as far as how to proceed in securing all of the needed parts for completely updating the electrical wiring of the trailer. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

More ideas for your boat...

Think about other additions! Perhaps add extra flotation. Maybe you should add OAR LOCKS for the times when you run out of gas or battery power. OAR LOCKS.......OAR.......LOCKS!!!!!! Otherwise...I wish I had any sorta boat............... (Darn parents.....)
