My first megasailer's hull design

Hi,
this is my first experience in design .I am looking for a boat very simple and in the meanwhile wonderful.
I want to use double schooner-rigged tree and a pilot house to use as a living room in chinese style.
What do you think about this setting?
Now i have designed the hull and deck .
Work in progress...

There a devilish lack of shelter. Or is this a sheltered water craft?

It's only a concept design to try the potentiality of rhinoceros.
A similar real project have a displacement approximately (50-60 tons) and a ballast (17-25 tons)concern the performance of your boat.

What happened to the pilothouse and dbl-schooner rig you referred to in your original post?
And if the boats going to weigh 50+ tons, then your steering wheels are too big - unless you are 30ft tall of course!
Otherwise, it looks kinda groovy to me

Hi Satan (what is it with this name??),

It looks to me that you are a bit inspired by the Wally designs (also from Italy). So these kind of boats can be done
see www.wally.com

Grtz,
Arvy

Thanks for replies. The style of this 3d model is similar to Wally S.Y. but my approximate reference about waterlines, l.o.a , and displacement is of another boat.
I want to know because my steering wheels are too big...they're only 1,40 mt high respect deck.

Hi sat...

nice try though....

wd be interesting to view on line a preliminary hull lines plan together with some hydrostatic data and stability curve....,
is that your next idea??
It looks like the forward end of waterlines are producing an angle of entrance with somewhat convex lines increasing perhaps the hull resistance .... furthermore, a high ratio Bmax/BWL suggests increased wetted surface on heeling conditions when beating to windward .....

I also dont see much of openings for natural light to get inside undeer deck....

nevertheless a good effort.... would like to see further progress on the concept

It's only a sample of rendering in Rhino using vray ...not a real project but only my concept

I have removed my dbl-schooner rig and the pilot house to try my first example of rendering very fast.
