Muck Such..

Hello...

Been out on a back spasm - many here surely appreciating the break from my self appointed 'nothing speak' rambles...

Included is yet another mental meandering - a Nonsuch 22 from Ellis - with my pilot house and coamings - I am just now doped up on pain killers - sorry...

I like the layout though admit it is cramped - I would still drop a sloop rig on the bulkhead that would define the forward berth and the 'dash' - I like the full head - lots of glass and curtains to keep it 'airy' inside the pilot house - yet provide OK space for H/C pressure water and perhaps shower head - and the full galley that would not intrude into the full pilot house...

Make sense - gah - codeine is bad stuff - I don't like it at all...

Do not like the idea of surgery either - but I do trust an Orthopedic Surgeon over a chiropracter who missed a walnut sized hernia in the past...

What...

So peeps - here is my latest bit on stuffing a 6 foot human dumpling into a 22 foot sailing boat - time to sleep - I am hurting...

Hi Sean

Sorry to hear of your misfortune.

Codeine is indeed bad news... rather use that stuff the Scotts are famous for.

Nice little boat. Smaller is bigger or am I and the Scottish stuff.

Nevertheless, here are two photos of my Tom Thumb 24 I built many moons ago. She was designed by Grahaeme Shannon and feature 6ft headroom. In fact she had a standing headroom head with shower, private forward cabin, spacious saloon, nice L shaped galley and double quarter berth. She put some much bigger boats to shame with her interior space.

She differed from the standard TT in the following ways;
1. I lengthen the cabin top by 1.2 meter, hence the interior space.
2. Dumbed the full keel for a fin of my own design, and the rudder were hung on a full skeg.

Believe it or not, she carried a 3 meter beam.
Cuttter rigged with nice bowsprit.

I really miss her. Best boat I ever had.

Fair winds

Wynand
