If he's asking about the U.S., I would bet on outboard runabout.

See http://www.nmma.org/facts/local/docu...onsSummary.pdf , last page.

Most sold boat type is a metal boat under 16 ft powered by an outboard.

And ouboards under 26 ft count for 2/3 of all boats. (including rowboats and kayaks).

The question is most sold design. In that regard, I guess it would be one of the popular Rudder magazine skiffs, sailors or possibly the "Spray" in one of it's reincarnations. There have been over a 1/4 of a million Stevenson Weekender plans sold since the late 1970's. Does the question include all the plan sets sold in a book? How many "Backyard Boat Building" has Buehler sold? Several complete sets of plans there. "Sensible Cruising Designs" by LFH, or H. Chapelle's books, etc. Does the question mean production boats or truly designs?

Welly, Roberts designs are well received in the market place. It seems to me you have been caught up in some mis-communications or understanding problems. This is a concern you can remedy, but it will take effort on your part as well as theirs.

Roberts has been pirated by a number of resellers and he's taking hits on business that should be his. This understandably has him pretty pissed. Selling stock plans is not a very good way to get rich, so each sale out of his control is money off the dinner plate.

Verify that you have bought true Roberts plans with the Roberts folks. This may require you to get an interpreter and make a phone call to clear up the misunderstanding. You indeed may have a fake set of BR plans and possibly should be talking badly about someone else. If you do have a genuine set of BR plans then you should be entitled to some limited consultation and the alternate rig if it is available. I have seen the Spray with the junk rig done by BR, so it is drawn up. About the other design I could not say.

Straighten out the issue and let us know how it works out, but dumping on him every chance you get will serve you little more then to fuel the fire that burns inside you, other then a resolution, which would be in both of your best interests.

Try registered mail with copies of your invoices. I have found a phone call can clear up most things quickly if level heads are maintained and a pleasant voice used.

I bought from Bruce Roberts-Goodson, Not Bruce Roberts International, which one u say is the true Bruce Robert? See email and picture in Thread Bruce Robert Lament and maybe you can set it right?

I post to this thread because Bruce Roberts drawing sold to alot of people, Bruce claim the SPRAY sold more in Thousand.......... isnt that a marvel?

Most Sold Boat in south asia,
in my guesr are the small canoes , also 6 meter outboard engine operated boats. Mostly it's the fisherman who use them here.
