| model sailboat design I got a model wooden sailboat that my Dad built when he was a kid. He turns 80 this summer. The boat has no mast and I want to finish it and give it to him for his birthday. Can anyone help me figure out how big to make the mast and boom? The boat is 18" long and 7" wide. The hole for the mast is 16" from the stern. I don't think I would ever try to sail the boat but I want the scale of the rigging to look appropriate. Also, any help on where I can get scale model part would be appreciated. Thanks. |
