| Let us now pray to the Gods of... Hello... LIGHT and FULL BOWS with LOTS OF RESERVE BOUYANCY... Raymond Hunt designed my boat and today it saved my cocky butt... 15 foot swells with little 5 foot waves getting their tops knocked off by the wind - yussis - me thinking about wipers for my sunglasses - I had a blast but I spent some time thinking against plumb stem profiles and for a good lean forward of same from the cutwater of the water line - to lift and plunge in the above... Also thought about getting my anchor OFF the pullpit rail - nasty but fun day - I was whooping - needed a good Texas hat and some chaps... Not to mention trying to put the thing back into the hole (dock it) with a crazy cross wind - reminded me of landing a Piper Cub in same - years ago as a kid - still am - phht... Thing is - I don't feel like re doing the Fat Eggs' (Raven 22) hull just now - but I will log today in memory - http://www.boatdesign.net/gallery/sh...cat/500/page/1 ... OK - I can't make my wife understand these things - not that she is simple - she simply does not care - I should be out practicing my golf swing per her edict - but she does like that Wally 118 interior - so I post and chat here - I am just now coming off the adrenalin with a lit fire and some good Scotch - life is hard for me... For discussion - I would like to hear experiences of racers and owners of plumb stemmed boats as to their boats response to heavy chop... Right... SH. |

| Sean, Just a thought from a lover of plumb bows - for the length (read "for the marina fee") you get MORE reserve buoyancy from a plumb stem... Think about it. ![]() Steve "and fuller bows, too" |

| Just leave me alone... Hello... I did - my 15 minutes of fame was a concert with the Cure - the Clash - Siouxsie & The Banshees - and John Lydon on his own... So there you go... I will enclose latest here then... I am pissed just now - pulled 10 hours 'for the man' - got home and just did this bit to see if it would work - thanks go to you and to my 'smartie wife' Best of...
