Can anyone recommend a line of good quality inspection hatches? I need two about 20" x 10" that will sit in my cockpit sole and I expect that some are built to a higher quality than others. I am looking for quality latches, lack of warping and good gaskets. What makes good construction? I don't need Bomar aluminum or such... just not total crap.
    Thanks

As far as I know those typical plastic inspection hatches are rated " water resistant "

If this satisfies your need , go for it.

Its not typical to cut big 20 x 10 holes in a cockpit sole and not install "rated" waterproof hatches.

The typical Lewmar style , alum framed deck hatch would be rated waterproof region CE Area 2 for installation on Deck, Coachroof, Cockpit and Transom.

Investigate applicable regs before chopping holes in your cockpit sole.
