Info about getting a captains license

Hey i looked online but am totally lost,

I would like to get my captains license for running commercial yachts and maybe eventually get my 100 ton masters. But i need to know where to start out and what i need to start studying.

Anyone info would be moving me in the right direction cause i am so lost right now. The USCG website is very confusing to me

thanks everyone

might want to look at www.captainschool.com
The knowledge requirements can be learned, documenting 360 days as captain/crew is usually the part that takes time.
