inflatable catamaran

Hello,
I'm searching for informations on inflatable catamarans..
Do they exist?
How to build one?
Where do I find the goods?
Thanks,
Gabriele Betti
P.S: Any good freeware to determine measures and stuff?

Hi Gabriele,
Questions:
-What size are you interested in?
-Sail or Power?
-If Power, High Performance (racing) or Dinghy/Tender/General Use?

Do they exist? Sure:
Sail:

Power:

Power:

Speaking without much experience, other than repairing some inflatables with mixed results, I think that you'll find that an inflatable catamaran will be one of the more difficult boats to home-build though. Especially in terms of approaching the fit and finish of a production RIB/inflatable, I think you'll find that this is very difficult if you are trying to do this shorthanded (i.e. you are the labor force), without the right equipment/space, or without lots of trial and error to get the process down. It will certainly be more difficult to get your first home-built inflatable to match a production inflatable than if you were, say, building in wood or FRP, since there won't be much room at all to fix mistakes and because with an inflatible, you won't be able to break it down into smaller areas as much as you can with FRP construction.
