Don't know what you run...

Yipster - others...

I got these bits running Copernic - http://www.copernic.com/ - in Windows 2000 - searching for photos under 'trimaran design'...

Looks like the British are seriously looking into same from a military point of view - very coolies...

Great platform for an aircraft carrier...

Cheers...

Uh, lol? Cool trimaran though. Maybe it'd make a good yacht.

I hope that's not a question you often ask of things considered sexy!
Seriously though, the biggest drawback with tri's, as I see it, is that they need to be seriously big in order for the hulls to contain any sensible accomodations. Of course you can always restrict the accomodations to the bridgedeck level.
What would you do with it? What do you do with any boat.... here you have the possibility of a stable, fast, economical and seaworthy passagemaker. Certainly does it for me!

I dunno about the accomodations, Will. Maybe you could have a relatively large middle hull, big as a normal cruising monohull's hull and have proportionately sized outriggers.

It is not sexy to be cheap.I don't think you will fill a boat up with a gang of girls with sardine's sunshowers and a bucket to skwat in.Parting and ballin ain't cheap. With a boat like that you are talking about girls gone wild. Any high dallar yacht will get them flowing

A trimaran is no different to any other multihull - any vessel come to think of it - in general terms, long and thin = economy. Sure - if you're going to rocket around at 50knots in a 100+ foot boat, it's going to use a lot of fuel. But I'll bet that the tri will still use less than a mono.

My comment on economy was not in it's use but in it's construction.
