Hydrofoil Design

Does anyone know where can i find offsets for some types of hydrofoils?
Maybe some of the NACA series..!

Do you know any program, which i can use to design the foil?
Can i use Autocad, or maybe it would be easier to use another program?

Yes, you can use autocad to draw it but I strongly suggest you download a copy of Rhino 3 (www.rhino3.com). Then look at the thread "Points Cloud" in the software section of this forum. If you want to analyse the performance, X-Foil (from UIUC/Mark Drela) is a good bet. E-mail me if you need any help... Tim@MarineDesign.tk

Does anyone know a good and easy method to construct a hydrofoil?
(materials,shaping,etc..)

Foil Construction

For fairly small foils used in Moth Class(11'hull length) sailboats go to the Australian Moth class forum-much info there on construction design and some on altitude control. Also see the Foiler Design thread under "sailboats" on this forum for some useful info.
