Hydrofoil conversion?

Greetings everyone!

I recently procured a small (circa 10ft), light speedboat and am contemplating fitting hydrofoils to it. I have a liitle experience building and flying model aircraft, and, applying some of the principles there, understand that I must balance thrust/drag and lift/weight.

A small foil will equate to a high wing loading and therefore require greater speed to generate the lift required to take off.

Can anyone advise how I might start to determine foil size, section, location and motor size required?

Regards
Cameron
