You tackle a subject that is the weakest point of every sailin yacht/boat: Electricity! Necessary to produce hydrogene. For the time bein, to much of a complex system. Not entirely fool proof!.

But possible it is.

But it is 3-4 times more efficient to use it in a fuel cell to power an electric drive, than to burn it.

Jonathan, I think that I prefer to concentrate on the solar-powered auxiliary electric propulsion. A difficult, almost impossible target to achieve in the classic sailboat design, but quite possible to realise in the next generation circumnavigators.
The topic of auxiliary power in the sailboat is much less important than the super power rig that should replace the rig/sail designs of today.

I think Iceland is the onlye place where hydrogen is getting available and is replacing fossile fuels for cars.
