| Help needed!!!!..... Hi all, i'm a polytechnic student currently in singapore... and i have taken on a final year project of building a yacht model.. but barely into the project, i have met with barriers... i need a lines plan of similar/sister yachts to proceed for references and i cant find any... I urgently need a lines plan... The yacht's particulars are approximately 30m x 9m x 4.5m...... I hereby sincerely ask for assistances of any kind from any kind souls in this forum... i plead for help... i would really appreciate it if anyone can help me in this matter.... |

| Modern designers do not tend to publish their lines diagrams in the public domain. However the older designers did, you can find full lines drawings in many books featuring the older designers. I would recommend giving the scretary of the Singapore yacht club a call. They should be able to help. Alternatively if you can describe exactly what sort of hullshape you are looking for then someone here may have some lines they can furnish you, but you need to specify a lot more information. | well... the type of hulls are something like luxury motor yachts... i believe it is called v-shaped hulls... it's about 100ft longitudinal.... but i'm not very sure wat other information do i need to provide... can anyone pls enlighten me a little bit more? by the way, thanks Mike.. Dave |

| Greetings to everyone here, i know there's a lot of experienced and skill designers and architects and engineers here..... I really need some help in this matter as stated in my first posting.... I need to build a scale model and have no idea how to proceed on... as i think i cant just anyhow come u with a lines plan by myself... So would anyone generously offer some kind of assistance or help that may give me a sense of direction as to how to go about doing this project that has been weighing heavily on my shoulders.... |

| Go to the Royal Inst of Naval Arch. site, and send an email to them and ask about buying a copy of the subject Maritime Technology Monograph. Also, go on line to some engineering college libraries and try to find out who has it. You might also go by a local NA firm or shipyard and ask. There are plenty of people who do this kind of thing in Singapore and will have a copy of this reference. |
