| help Identify please Its a long shot, but this is the best place to take such a shot. Any guesses on who built this boat or its designer? I considering designing/building a modern version of this boat and would appreciate any help in identifying her. This is my grandfather's fishing boat. The boat was in Venice FL in the early 50's. Name was "Junior Miss II". I would guess the boat was built in FL west coast, he had other sailboats built there. The scan is not great. I will try to get a higher resolution scan. I know somewhere in the family there are close ups of the cockpit (I remember seeing them when I was younger). She is a single screw, around 30' long, its hard to see itn eh picuter but the trunk cabin is cambered and there are two windows on each side of the cabin, a small deck to walk around. ![]() thanks!

| Similar to Hemmingway's Pilar, which is well documented. There used to be a sistership at World Wide Sportsman in Islamorada. |

| Pilar looks bigger, but it has some of the same styling for sure. thanks. I just found this image of a VERY similar boat in Boca Grande pass. I doubt its the same boat, but the proportions are the same, cabin window shape/angle is the same, location of cabin windows the same, etc. Probably the same builder.

| Builer of all three is Wheeler, I think. If you're getting flashbacks to '70s TV, they also built the S.S. Minnow. Good luck, little buddy. |

The S.S. Minnow used in the opening of the second and third season color episodes, previously named the Bluejacket, now resides at Schooner Cove Marina on the east side of Vancouver Island, in Nanoose Bay, British Columbia. Having put the boat through a major restoration, the new owner plans to use it for charters and sight seeing tours. It is equipped with an old life preserver with "S.S. Minnow" on it, as well as other show items.

| Hey, Joel, sweet lapper. It looks familiar, I'll look though my records and see if I find something similar. |

| Do you have the old reg #s? Have you called Tallahassee to see if they can look up the old registration for you? You may need to pretext the conversation a bit to keep them interested as they are not in the reference librarian business. |
