Help with aluminum boat rudder???

Hey, I am new to this forum but figured this would be the best way to get what I need. I have a 14' aluminum jon boat and I want to build a rudder for it. I have seen several guys while out fishing that have one but can't get to them to take a photo or get dimensions. So I was wondering if anyone on here could help me out. I have whatever material is needed as I work for a steel company. I just need to know what the length needs to be and how to mount it or bracket it to the boat. Hmmm, jon boats are not powered by outboards?

I have very little time for writing in the forum lately, otherwise I would have helped with a drawing.
You could use some standard outboard stock rudder for sailboats - like this one, for example:
