rebuild of 16 ft glass open boat

here are a few pitcures of my 16 ft open boat i am in the process of trying to re build it, i ground it out back to good glass and of i went.
it has about a 1.8m beam and is verry shallow if u put a pice timber on top of the gunall it is 650mm deep at the bow and 510 at the stern.
here is a b4 and a so far pic.
i am in 2 minds wether to put a center consol or tiller out bord on it.
i have searched the net but can not find a maker or a built date.
    heres a photo or 2 when i got .
    and a progress shot.

    fuel tank position

dose anyone know how far away from the outbord motor the fuel tank can go i wanted to put myin in the bow under the casting deck, is this to far for the motor to suck the fuel? it will be about 14 ft away from the motor.

It is best to keep the ends of the boat as light as is practical. If you put the fuel tank very far forward, as you sugest, then you are adding weight too near the bow. If you can arrange to have the fuel tanks near the center of the boat it will almost surely handle better in a chop and it will probably be drier too.

yes very true, i mite relocate it to under a seat that will be just behind the center console, aft of mid ship, i will be standing at least 50% percent of the time, if not more, its easier on the back and easier to see when your in the sticks and structre.
