If you have no speed estimations, how was it designed? Do you have any calculations for it at all? Who did the design work?
Is it a planing hull?

What type of construction?

I designed the boat with an AutoCad specialist who specializes in yacht design. We didn't do any speed calculations. He said he didn't trust Multisurf on Catamarans. Yes, it is a planing hull.

The boat will be built out of Okume and epoxy/cold molded.

Weight estimates were 7800lbs w/200 gallons fuel, 250 outboards, gear, no people. 4100lbs hull only.

I have a power cat ! I know a bit about them, but I think you will have problems with the wieght of 2 such big engines on an already pretty low stern.

Anyway i wish you luck and keep us informed.

The stern is no lower than my current power cat that I built. I can back into 3' seas all day long with no problem. If it becomes a problem, then I will fix it. Until then I am confident in my design! You can only do so much with 25" leg outboards. Have you ever checked out a glacier bay 26'? With 3 big guys in the cockpit, waterline is 2" from the top of the transom. I have Never had that problem. In fact, the top of my transom is 28" from the bottom of the Keel. Sorry to get defensive, I just have to ease any doubts.

How's the weather in the Pacific?

Thanks
Billy
