Free!ship chines?

I'm playing with freeship, and it's a lot of fun but how do I draw chines for flat panel construction? The tutorials are confusing to me.
Is this simple or am I going to be pulling my hair out?

A chine in Freeship/Delftship is created by "creasing" a control edge. Select the edge(s) you want to be hard chines, and then select Edit -> Crease.
