free plans for simple model

My daughter is taking drafting at Stuyvesant High School. Final project is to build a model with construction paper. She wants to build a boat. I'm looking for a simple but cool boat plan to work from. Here are my ideas so far:

Thomas Yost BIF-16 Baidarka kayak:

http://robroy.dyndns.info/baidarka/s.../node-u11.html

http://robroy.dyndns.info/baidarka/s.../node-u22.html
http://robroy.dyndns.info/baidarka/s.../node-u58.html

Other kayaks:

Mistral Moth:
See attached photo. I have plans.

Sharpies:

http://www.woodenboat.com/wbstore/in...roducts_id=199
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharpie_(boat)

Other thoughts:
Catamaran based on Mistral Moth
Powerboat based on Mistral Moth and some drawings of mine

Any other ideas? Must be:
Hard chine (or very V'd as is case with Mistral Moth)
Panels should be non-twisting or conic or developable
Plans should be easily available or free. Online preferable.

The U.S. Vintage Model Yacht Group newsletter reprinted a 1944 article by William F. Crosby (designer of the Snipe, among others) for a 24" developed surface sailing model made from cardboard. PM me with your email and I'll get a copy to you.

Cheers,

Earl

Check out Gavin Atkins free plans at intheboatshed.net - they are mostly fairly simple flat panel ply boats and the plans are all as PDFs. He even has A4 (near letter) sized panel layouts for making paper scale models of some of the designs.

Simplicity Boats

David Beede has some nice easy dinghy designs, plans free from his web site, that would be simple enough to build.
I'm currently building the Summer Breeze.

Yeah, there's those and I'm sure there are others available as well. He has some designs available for free on Duckworks also.
