According to this clip the second law of thermodynamics was repealed and perpetual motion is now in!

    Boob Bait for the Bubbas?

Or can we all now forget displacement boats , and see how 100K cruising works with current Auto Pilots?

This is old news...been around for over a year.

Problem is the car needs a lot of batteries to run the genny (which they don't mention)!...opps!!

if i read well we have to pay for that water in a hydrogen economy

here a nice modern and "free" fotovoltaic application

100 years ago allready they filled big balloons with hydrogen made on site, amazing!

    offcourse fuell cells and battery's must be sold, taxes paid, but i really wonder if the big turnover hangs on something simple like for example and one saying;

Don't sneer too much at so called free energy. It is a reality. Be patient for a while and you will become the wiser. It is not something you can offer in the open, in 1st world countries the financial impact would be phenominal, and free energy would be opposed fiercely. That is all I know.

Did you fall on your head...

All I know is - you get nothing from nothing... Or in other words
You get out what you put in....

Water is not a fuel... Hydrogen and Oxygen are... But it requires lots of energy to release it...

Same for all energies... and no ... Laws of energies have not been repealed.

Its the first law of thermo that prohibits perpetual motion, the second is about entropy. Personally, I like the idea of using gravity which is free, for powering cars. Should be easy to do too, just make sure all cars have smaller wheels in front. That way they'll always be going downhill using free gravity for energy.....

Fred; your alliteration is clever...(Boob bait for bubbas) and apt, I suspect.

The promo is evidently claiming that they extract enough energy from the hydrogen to separate the H and O2 with enough left over to power the car. Where is the resident chemist? Science fiction writers and rocket people have been talking about this for a long time. I'm ready. Where and when can I get one? The skeptic in me says that somebody is looking for a pile of venture capital to run off with.

Governments will never allow free energy to become available. Just think about it for a moment. It means the fuel supply income will disappear. Just try and calculate the amount of income that is. Think how many won't have jobs if fuel supply disappear. This is a major income facet.

Next imagine people giving up their paid electricity supply. Calculate the amount of money involved there. How much money will be lost now. How many jobs is going with it. This is another major income facet.

No government cannot afford to allow anyone to start offering free power around. Just look at the way the setup is structured. Whatever you earn is structured on an expense base so you can live on it, but it goes back into the big box. You have no chance to really get ahead, and if you save and put money in a bank or some kind of investment... well, it's not just the US that went through that exersize just recently.

On a free energy level, forget it. They will let you disappear very quickly. There were quite a few already. Governments cannot afford to lose their financial control over you. That is why it is illegal to stash money in another country.

Free energy is just as impossible as it is to fly. Some years ago they laughed at you if you mentiond flying. Now it is a common thing, but only because they can make money off'n you.

The aerth is not as flat as you think it is.

Matt, there were many clever and very economic ways produced in the past that offers fantastic energy sources. The reason none of them were ever offered on a commercial basis is not the so said dangerous technology like 'cold' fusion (opposite of an atomic reaction), radio activity and hydrofusion, it is because there is no continuous income from it for the taking. They cannot charge you money for a liter of water, so it is shelved for the 'future'.

The US and Russian ships use radio active engines, a long term (80 year+) non stop very economical power source.

What a thread to make your first post in!

Why not just look at the big huge burning ball of hydrogen that is going to keep on burning for about something like another five billion years! People always seem to want the cheapest option, and that is what drives the market. The sun drives the engine of this planet. The Sun propagates enough energy on the surface of the earth every hour to last us for an entire year! People just have to stop being addicted to super cheap energy, pony up a little extra money, and use a better option.

Thing I would like to see....

-Flexible thin film solar cells integrated into sails. Wind is just solar heat energy converted to a mechanical form. If we can harvest both the heat of the sun (wind ) and electricity from the sun....well.....that would be fantastic.

-The return of large scale sail power. We ship so much stuff so many places over such long distances......

-On-board hydrogen generation by way of harnessing the energy of a regeneration electric propulsion system. The entire time your sailing you could give up a little speed to generate electricity. This electricity can then be used to generate hydrogen at very high pressures. They have non-compressor electrolysis machines that can generate hydrogen at beyond 5000psi. This hydrogen can then be stored at those pressures in carbon fiber pressure vessels. The hydrogen can then be used later in a multitude of ways. A diesel engine can be run on pure hydrogen with rather simple modifications. Or you could drive the same electric motors used to generate the hydrogen with a fuel cell ( also harvesting a good deal of heat! ). As a bonus hydrogen can be used in just about any natural gas appliance with a few modifications.

-Why not replace weight in the keel of a sailboat with battery weight?

    Anyways.....

    Keep on dreaming!

"Governments will never allow free energy to become available."

Many of governments of the world try and try to seal off their populations from the "outside" world, ALL fail.

Every one , no matter how many citizens they will exterminate .

The concept that every gov in the world would conspire and SUCCEED! at intercepting information is laughable.

If the second law of thermodynamics is revoked by some dream gas , the world will know , at the speed of light.

"Why not replace weight in the keel of a sailboat with battery weight?"

Pick up a battery , then pick up a solid hunk of lead the same size.

The spacers, seperators, and all the rest lower a batts density greatly.

Also removal and replacement might be a problem, just ask anyone with 8D batts (140lbs each ) how much fun it is to hump them out of the boat and down the dock.

There is already a test beemer in the US running on hydrogin, in 2010 they will introduce them. You won't be allowed to make your own fuel, you have to pay for it. Your boat sits on the dream gas, and everyone is aware of it.

Not every one will. Some have nothing to lose and will accept anything.
Tell you what. Put a note in some of your papers and ask for a developer to fund a free energy source you discovered. See how long it takes the grey coats to pitch up at your door. Most certainly you will hear the words 'it is a matter of national security...'

Metcalf, multihills does not require weighted keels... sure you heard of them. Batteries placed anywhere :D
