free design software?

I'm totally new . SOS

I want to design an new type of speedboat. I am looking for cheap (free) software and good pointers on where to look.

Any advise?

Free design software

A couple of 4B pencils; and erazor, a ruler, Maths compass and a pad of graph paper are about the cheapest software you can get.
Failing that, browse the web for 'demo' software. Most offers cater for PC - but if like me, you're a Mac devotee, it's TouchCAD:

Allow me to second CGN's recommendation.
Use the fewest number of control points in freeship that will allow you to get the shape you are looking for.
