foil profiles

I am trying to design a hydrofoil and I am not much of a designer. I wonder if one of you could point me to existing dimensional drawings of foils which I could use as reference. My application is a light two seater watercraft with aircraft propeller and two steps ladder foils in canard configuration. I hope to reach a speed of 50 kts with a 1500 cc Mazda engine.

Thanks for your guidance.

Wow, that's a big question. Problem with using a readymade profile is you need to know what speed/lift etc it is designed for. Big risk of going astray here, if you don't want to learn the basics of airfoil properties...

Software such as http://aerofoilengineering.com/ or http://www.winfoil.com allow you to play around with profiles and results, they have trials and are cheap. Try it, you might become a bit more of a designer!

Thanks to you both for the tips. Yes I am aware of the complexity of my question. I was only hoping to find drawings of existing hydrofoil profiles that I could copy or adapt to my needs without getting too deep into hydrodynamics.

I got a lot of help through my own thread at
Hydrofoil Profile Question

This is a resourceful site: http://www.gliders.dk/airfoils.htm

This page has a NACA four digit profile generator and links to a NACA five digit generator: http://www.ppart.de//programming/jav...les/NACA4.html
