The world is full of clever ideas. I think that there is a necessity to prove that the ideas are working.

    Vlad,

You are a visionary  and it is normal that at such an early stage only few see the 'how' and/or the 'why' of your ideas.
I find your vision to be interesting, I enjoy reading the threads on these subjects, and thanks to you and other participants I've learned new things.

It is already confirmed by readers discussions in all my threads. There is no doubt the ideas are working. Could you read these threads and readers opinion carefully please?

I am sorry for your interpretation. I mean that to day it is not enough to have an idea you can show on paper. It is necessary to show the fact on pictures or/and video.

Dear Kjell, you are not right. You can find lots of working models and finished products in Internet and in publicity with wonderful pictures and video but most of them do not attract attention of specialists or customers. Good idea must be developed. I do not hurry up to realize my idea because of complexity of the propulsion device. I see the result will be as above. I must to invent a simpler device and look for a worshipper of this idea.

    fish tail oar....

Well I needed to fit the boat with eigther human power or a trolling motor for a backup form of propulsion- I have been mulling this design over for a few years now and yesterday morning i decided it was the time to build one, so with only the parts and supplies I had on hand, I built this.....
The tuna fin pushed me at 1.6 mph on gps, boat is filled with a weeks worth of food and clothes, stove, 5gal water, 5 gal gas, 17hp Kohler engine, toolbox..........etc. Id say she is a fine shantyboat! the outer hulls are Hobie Cat 16, center hull is a Catalina 15 Capri. Spars under deck are 304 stainless 2"x2"
Also- this was a float test for the amas and main hull, c/b wt/balance.
Special Thanks to Mindy- my girl.

You could have got the same effect by means of traditional single oar stern sculling. Nice intent, though. :)

    How to scull a boat

    Cheers.

If you don’t like to work hard. Use the electric Scull-Drive the only sculling device with reverse running.
