| Fin keel Good morning in your opinion, for attach the fin to the hull, is keel box into the hull the best system? There are many accidents with this technique isn'it? Hoolygan, many of Vendee globe racers and others.... mermont |

| If it is a paper boat, a drop of glue should be enough. ![]() If not, I would suggest you to give some more info about the boat - type, size, hull material, possibly some pics etc. Cheers! |

| any type of keel attach design can fail if improperly designed, installed, or poorly maintained. Which is "better" is a matter of how well it was designed, and possible other trade-off with simplicity, weight, etc. I tend to like simple designs, fewer parts to worry about, simpler installation, less to maintain and less to go wrong. But these are not always the most weight efficient. |
