I would say yes. The risers look to be quite high and cable stays or struts would help. I look forward to seeing what becomes of this design utilizing my modular hulls. After all, this is why I make them, so tinkerers can build whatever they want then take it apart and build something else. Ever hear of a product called Lego? Exactly.

Clipper2s trimaran is interesting and if his design or any others look and perform well enough, I'll look into producing a ready made version. I'd like to experiment with a 20 ft center hull and 12 ft amas which both fly while there is good pressure in the sails. That would leave only the 20 ft long x 10 inch wide hull in the water which you could sail like a Moth with a foil.

A 20' center hull on a performance tri is usually subject to sizable structural loads. Some people may not understand what went into designing these boats and they may expect any hull to be just as strong as the one they saw somewhere else. People can be real dumb.

You may want to be careful and make sure that buyers do not expect more bending strength than the product can safely provide.

Ah yes, The safety factor, Well, if the end user is smart then they will use some sort of stringer or other support to take the stress loads so it isn't incumbent on the plastic joints to hold the boat together. Most will be aware of this and deal with it in their designs.
Expandacraft has several approved kits for recreational boaters but any tinkerer can buy parts and put them together how they please. I can't control that but I can lend support.

I'm working on that right now. Looks like I'll have one in Cleveland this spring and I may start a corporate store here in the Tampa area if I can find a suitable space. I think my ability to focus on good suggestions would improve greatly if you could post pictures like that first one if the model on the trampoline was in a bathing suit.

That should get the creative juices flowing.
