When building prototypes to sail, the devil is in the details, are these nuances worth the effort? what is the resulting performance and how to measure it? tough to beat evolution, any radical design change is a long shot, but in general less is more and less should do more. But reduction can lead to nothing, in the end, humor is my best design tool and it is nuts and bolts that get the job done! ,

This is evolution; stepwise improvement which hopefully one of us will bring to Darwinian reality, to survive and prosper or fail, either way teaching us in the process. I have some building plans on hold, hoping something comes out of this. Don't take away my dreams!

Sorry, my last posting was a reference to my own work, we are all dreamers.

Weel, Loony me old buddy, I think we lost the others.

Hello! Hello! Eric, T3, anyone interested in pursuing this idea, or go back to the Dynarig and MF, or just drop the whole thing?

Lunatic; if the other guys have abandoned us maybe we should go back to your thread, if you're interested in discussing this idea.

Maltese Falcon & her DynaRig, renamed FalconRig

I might make the suggestion that you visit this subject thread that addresses a lot of the subjects you are discussing here:

...and here for a multihull version:

I might suggest you contact this Spainish gentleman who has made numerous contributions to this forum including a very early one on Maltese Falcon

    Something a little simplier:

    Model Testing on YouTube
Recently there has been some interesting model testing with DynaRigs on Proas at YouTube videos:
