| You want it to plane or row? Here's a rower I did up a year or so ago. Its about 12'2" long with a 4' beam. It has lots of flare to the sides, ala Dory, so you can haul the mutt over the side without swamping the boat. The depth of the boat is 15" (verticle) with 10" of freeboard at the lowest point at 540lbs gross wt. Using 2 sheets of 3/8" for the bottom and 2 sheets of 1/4" for the sides you're looking at around 100 lbs for the boat when completed. This could use a small (1-3 hp) motor for trolling speeds...or even a trolling motor. A planning version would be pretty easy to come up with. Steve |

| Tja google duck hunters boat page. There is a lot of info on the site of guys that have built there own duck hunting boat out of wood. Post your question on there talk forum and i'm sure you will get several responses. |
