Drafting materials

I am looking for good resources for drafting tools and material. What I am trying to do is get some idea on the cost of the equipment I will need as a student.
Thank you to all who have posted on these pages. The education is greatly appreciated and all of you have helped me to make the decision to persue what has for a long time held my interest, Yacht Design.

For general drawing supplies I've enjoyed shopping from Charette lately - http://www.charrette.com/

We're not in Kansas anymore.

Sorry Will, I'm not in Oz but I my wife's name is Dorothy.

I live on Key Biscayne which is across the bay from Miami, Florida, where we have some terrific sailing.

I am just starting to dive into the design world and trying to figure out where my money is about to go. I know a big chunk is about to be put in the mail in the form of an application sent to Westlawn. After that supplies, books, software...... will it ever stop?

Well off to the Post Office. Wish me luck.
Sean
