@apex: I know, I got a little carried away. This is nbot the place for discussing software. I'm sorry!

@ all:
I hereby declare this thread closed as I have decided to pursue a ply/glass design instead. After playing around with CARENE and FREE!ship I found that with the time and money I have I can make a craft without all the compromises of the tube hull at nearly the same cost and with a minimum of extra effort.

I would like to thank everyone that has contributed, your input has been invaluable to me. I'm closing this thread to make a new one, describing my new plywood design. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
