Digital Measuring

I am looking for a digital measuring device I can use to accurately measure vessel interiors (bare hull/mold)for the purpose of producing "as built" dwgs (CAD and Rhino), interior furniture shop floor dwgs, perspectives and C&C cutter dwgs. Currently using tape and plumb bob etc but find it time consuming and not accurate enough. Look forward to any helpful info.

My girlfriend uses these for taking internal measurements when surveying tanks http://www.laserdistoshop.com.au/?gc...FQrzbwod6104xw She says they are very quick and easy to use and very accurate when used properly.
