I really liked my 10' Caribe. Only one I have any experience with though. A must have is a prop-fin for any short boat,I can tell you that. I had the Davis Dol-fin on mine. Was a great little boat.

I think Bat boats and Naumatec are one of the best brands for Rigid Inflatable Boats: their design is amazing.

The aluminum hull with biggest, counter-rotating props (and therefore highest HP) on it.

Zodiac from France makes some nice ones.

Over the years we've had many - Calligari, Beaufort, Zodiac, Avon - some hard bottom, some soft. All have been at the shorter end of the length spectrum - used as tender - and most, but not all with tiller steering.
By far the best is one of our current ones - an Aquapro with aluminium bottom and hypalon tubes. Unlike many others it gives a dry, soft ride.
We also have a zodiac yachtline that came as part of a package. It's comfortable and dry too. Great for touring area's where the mothership can't go. But utterly useless if you want to go ashore or go diving.

Typical movie work boat, but less power than most, only 200 hp. Many had twin 150 hp engines. We pushed floating sets around with these and had to make rope mats for the bows to keep from wearing through the tubes.

Never caught the name, but I see some very nice ribs in the Adriatic.... low powered, deep ,sharp forefoot, narrow beam and tubes up high to reduce slamming. very seamanlike

Thanks for that Bataan, they look realy good. I've had this plan to make a Large Rib for quite some years now and I'm waiting for some quotes for tubes big enough for my project. My plan is to go to the 100ft + size and to have about 6/7 berths on board or more if possible. I want the boat to travel a far bit so it will need some good planning to handle long distance trips, but I will get a few more parties involved in the power source. I'm going for the diesel powered, well I should say recycled fuel powered lol.
