| design projekt Hello! My name is Falk. I知 a design-student from Germany and I知 working on an interior for a versatile utility boat. The main point is to offer more flexibility to the seat and space arrangement to provide a wider range of possibilities. The interior should offer the possibility to use the boat for commuting, hauling, fishing and recreation. If you feel you could say something about that topic, please do so. What kind of boat do you use (size, material, power) and what for? What problems do you find? Is the material of the interior wearing off much, where most and why? Do you have wishes, what should be improved? Or other Ideas in general? I知 looking forward to any feedback. Thanks a lot and have a good day, Falk |

| For fishing I like boats that can be hosed down. Carpet and upholstery are difficult to clean and stink after a while.

| I agree with Gonzo. Gelcoat or painted fiberglass with removable marine vinyl seating surfaces. Don't forget ample deck drainage and channels around flush hatches. We here in Texas are fond of the "splatter" finish. Doesn't show the inevitable stains as easily as solid colors. Hope this helps!

| good design projekt i can think of dozens of improvements. everyday i see handy systems, on other boats too, not to mention the many ideas that come up spontaniously. it often does depend on the type of boat but look at new boats, folding seat systems, unitbuilding, fabrics, materials etc. yes, make those boats more comfortable! yipster |

| Hi and thanks for your reply! First off my attention lies on a seating system, that gives you the possibility to change from seating configuration to cargo situation easily, for I'm working on a small open boat with a very limited amount of space available. what do you think of the practicabillity of some folding systems mounted to the interior of boats. Is it so that one would really feel the need to change the seat-arrangement? what problems do you see with moving parts and folding mechanics due to weather and dirt? falk |

| Seats like that are standard equipment in many small boats. |

| still many small boats dont have a flipover backrest that enables fishing sitting backwards ![]() newer boats often show better ergonomics. think of rod storage tubes etc. |

| What do you think about underfloor storage room, is that really handy to use? |

| By underfloor do you mean under a cockpit sole like a ski locker?

| Yes, thatエs what I mean. Is anyone using such a thing? What about water on the floor? |

| Yes, every ski boat has it. In older boats, especially sailboats with deep bilges, it was a typical cool storage area. What do you mean by water on the floor? Floors are the structural members that join the frame ends and reinforce the keel. Do you mean cockpit sole? |

| Yes I guess I mean the cockpit sole then, I had no dictionary with me and thought floor would be what I searched for. Sorry for the confusion. |
