| Dwight, Is it just the Duo Delta Conic hull that you are wondering about? Or is it stepped hulls in general. It may surprise you that stepped hulls have been around since 1872. That’s not a typo, 1872, a long time before modern surface drives. If you want to read a first class article about stepped hulls get the October/November issue of Professional Boatbuilder, #85. The way I understand it there should be no reason for a ddc step to be limited to surface drives. But my understanding has been corrected many times in the past. Gary ![]() |
